Introduction
Extensive use of ICT is transforming the existing
industrial society into information society. The
Information Society of the 21st Century is essentially a
connected society in which every one is connected with
another anywhere anytime thus creating a new scenario.
The new technologies and scenarios have brought in not
only new processes but also empowered people in many
different ways. The purpose of the
e-Teacher Education
Program is to use the new scenarios and situations to
help students in integrating his /her learning, working
and developing in a connected community of students,
teachers, experts and the people and institutions
linked.. Since the current period is a transitional one,
the program takes into the un-connectedness and provides
education and training that would promote not only
life-long-learning but also quality education for all
connected. The program is offered by a group of
institutions under the umbrella of I-CONSENT and nodal
roles of YCMOU and MKCL. |
