KNIT- Knowledge Networking Inspiring Transformation is a unique initiative of MKCL (Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd.) under which MKCL is offering an Internet Based Knowledge and Data Management platform for NGOs.

KNIT aims to help NGOs gain operational efficiencies using the internet and Information technology, while ensuring a minimum learning curve. If they can use a keyboard, they would be able to use this platform.

 
  • A way for NGO’s to have a very simple tool to manage their data
  • A way for NGO’s to gain operational efficiencies by using information technology and the internet
  • A way for NGO’s to get a easily manageable website and more importantly access to a knowledge management tool
  • A way for NGO’s to easily access data (documents, videos, photos, audio files etc.) wherever they are. And also choose to share it easily with anyone of their choice
  • A way for NGO’s to easily learn and use the power of the internet for data management and operational efficiencies
  • A way for NGO’s to find useful information and collaborate with other NGO’s if they chose to, for mutual benefit as well as using the power of knowledge available with someone else

Around 35 NGO’s from Pune attended the KNIT introduction session to understand this platform at: Dewang Mehta Auditorium, Persistent Systems Limited, Bhageerath, 402, Behind Dominos Pizza, Senapati  Bapat Road, Pune, on Saturday, 6th of February 2010.

All NGOs are welcome to take advantage of the KNIT platform. There are no registration or membership charges.
