• Shrihari Bhat, a student of NET 2007-2008 Maharashtra Olympiad Scholar won a Silver Medal for INDIA in International Junior Science Olympiad 2008 held in South Korea
• Pritish Patil, a student of NET 2008 - 2009, 2009 - 2010 batch won a Silver Medal for INDIA in International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) 2010 held at Sudak , Ukraine
• Alankar Kotwal, a student of NET 2008-2009 Maharashtra Olympiad Scholar was selected in International Junior Science Olympiad Training Camp 2009 held at HBCSE
• Chaitanya Mukund Tappu is a part of the 6 students team representing India in the International Junior Science Olympiad, which will be held in Durban, South Africa, in December 2011.

The "Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana" (KVPY) is a program started by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. This program strives to assist the students to realize their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is developed for research and growth in the country. The following students who were a part of NET in the last three years are going to get generous scholarship and contingency grant are provided (up to the pre-Ph.D. level).
